I love giving Suprises! Love to do something for my friends... Its lotsa fun, and their reaction is worth a billion smiles! Such was the case in Gauri's(aka Grrr's) B'Day Surprise...
I casually met Sanna at her place coz I was getting bored at home. At that time we both came up with the idea of having a Surprise Party fot Gauri! And this was like more than a week in advance, her birthday being on 17th Jan! So Sanna took out a notebook and actually made a checklist of what to do... Nako thithe doka vaparnar...! So she called up Gauri's bro, Sameer, and told her the full plan... He was also very enthusiastic about da whole idea!
So we were to have a treasure at Gauri's place- a gifts Treasure Hunt! Loadsa fun thinking of this and planning it all out! So, as 15th came we had to go get her gifts. She mostly wanted full sleeve t-shirts coz she dint have any... So... ummm full sleeves t-shirts occupied MOST of the gifts we got her!! Sanna and Trishant had to give her dicchu in college for getting her gifts... But Gauri had no idea! That was good! So we got a T-Shirt from Bossini and left... Trishant and Aksha got her a smart white shirt. Gauri wanted a bag also, so Sameer got her a cool Diesel bag!
So came the 16th, the main day of setting up the surprise! I met Sanna, Gauri and Karan at Smokin Joe's for Lunch. Aksha was in college and Trishant had gone home. At the same time, I had to get the extra keys of Gauri's house from Sameer. So when he came to JM road I went outside pretending to not have coverage inside and also saying that I had to give a friend o mine a CD..!! And thankfully, she still didn't suspect anything! I mean how would she?! So I met Sameer, took the keys from him and went back in... So, one step was done!
Aksha and Trishant together got the cake and I went to get the chocolates! Gauri even like 85% Cocoa chocolate.. woah! But to be on the safer side I got her 55% Cocoa Lindt chocolate...!
Now the only thing remaining was to write the Clues of the Treasure Hunt. So we decided to meet up at Polka Dots for dinner and sort out the clues and also wrap the gifts! So me and Sanna first went to Pyramids, bought Gauri a white Sweater! Damn good it was..! That was one of the fastest shopping I've ever seen a girl do!! Hehe! So after that we went to pick up the gift from Aksha...Madam wa slooking very pretty in Sari - yes she does wear Saris... Hehe! So, Karan came there and we three headed off to Polka.... 6 gifts and 5 clues! Aksha came a bit later and forgot the cake at home! huhhhhh... So she and Trishant went to her place to get the cake... Meanwhile, after dinner we went to Karan's place to pack all the gifts!
So we finished packing and all and it was already 11:25... Sameer was supposed to take Gauri out for Ice Cream at Baskin! So he gave us a missed call when we left home and we hurried out to their place!!
So, it took us about 5-10 mins to get the gifts in place in her house! And it was 12! They were coming into the building... So we turned off the lights and hid! Gauri walked in and the first thing she said was "Who's chapplaas are those???" GAWD!!
Till this point everything was perfect and we couldn't manage to hide the chappals!!! Oh boy..! So, anyways, we shouted HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And yes, we did pull it off! Hehe...
The Treasure Hunt was fun... Her mind was still very enthusiastic due to the surprise, so she wasn't able to think much!! Hehe! So after that, we all just sat down in front of the TV and talked the usual Non-Sense! Hehe... Gauri had this khunnas at me, which still remains a mystery!!
Boy! That was fun! The early morning ride back home was f***ing chilling! But overall it was amazing! Loved every bit!!
